First degree a Scottish M.A. (Hons) in English Literature (Glasgow 1995), including 2 years studying History of Art. Also studied Life Drawing at Glasgow School of Art and learnt to etch at Glasgow Print Studio at this time.
After intially starting a career in publishing (Chatto & Windus, Random House), had two children. After a divorce had a small part in a group exhibition in New York 2004 and embarked on a Fine Art M.A. at Sunderland University in 2005-7 (Distinction).

First major solo show Play|> Pause|| at the Fishmarket Gallery, Northampton, in April- May 2008.

August 2008 completed another M.A. in Curatorial Practise at Sunderland University, the final project for this being the generation of a communication based project between two historically linked churches in Leeds and Sunderland.

Currently holds a studio at Patrick Studios, East Street Arts, Leeds.
