Sol Rezza Overview
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 7th 1982
Sound Artist, Sound Designer and Independent Radio Producer focused on Radio Art and Sound Experimentation.
Works on sound art and radio art pieces since 2005. Develops her works based on sound scapes amd sound objects recorded in situ and transformed through computer edition. At this moment is working on a series based on sound objects of her own invention. Most of his work is produced to be broadcasted (via radio).
She has done several pieces of experimental radio, radio art, sound art, soundscape, radio and performative art and experimental multimedia pieces and sound installations in various parts of the world. Also working in the field of sound design for various institutions.
Worked on radio since 1998 (when she was 16 years old), at Argentina and several other Latin America countries. She has worked with radio personalities such as Quique Pesoa, Mario Wainfeld, the historian Hugo Chumbita, José Palomino Cortés, among others, on institutions such as Radio Nacional Argentina, Radio Ciudad, Radio Continental, Radio Belgrano, Radio del Plata, Radio América, Radio ETER (via Internet). She also directed Estudio Rodante, itinerant radio project of her own, which visited several community and indigenous radios on Latin American countries such as Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia y México.
During 2008-2009 she directed the series “El Silencio NO Existe” (Silence DOES NOT Exists), devoted to Radio Art and Experimental Radio; the series was produced for La Voladora Radio and broadcasted by several radio stations at Mexico, Spain and Argentina.
