Description: Nan Goldin: Nan Goldin's photographic magnum opus is her life and the people that inhabit it. Flipping through her Hasselblad Award book (2007), one follows the stories of her being, the deterioration of friends, the tenderness of lovers. The photos are communicative and evocative both for the context that they give each other, showing a life seemingly sans censor, and for the messy aesthetic of the photos, a presentation too untamed to be falsified. She's starting to do more video work now, but that, too, is a continuation of herself.
