To open Francine Spiegel's first solo show of paintings at Deitch Projects the other night, a few friends of hers including myself were lucky enough to perform "The Curse of the Century-Old Egg." For one solid hour, we threw goop at each other...you can read about it here:

While the performance captured a sweet fleeting moment, the paintings are the focus of the exhibit. I want to recommend anyone in New York this month see "Mud and Milk" because it is a fantastic and spooky body of work.
