[Domestik,at Eastern Bloc. Performed in an idea of a house.] Domestik strives to defy the norms of traditional theatre through restructuring the hierarchy between its elements. There is a set, but the set looks like a house; there are four separate rooms with doors, the kitchen fridge has real food, and you are welcome to sit down on the same couch where an actor was just reading a magazine. There are actors, but they inhabit the same rooms as the audience. The space itself is so powerfully conceived and activated that curious questions arise: Should we be seeing this? Is it not a little intrusive, even insensitive, to watch somebody weep alone in their bedroom? The linear narrative is also shaken
